The jewel in the crown in Alnmouth is Scott’s Deli. A delightful and refreshing addition to this gorgeous little village is the deli which serves an exciting mix of premium products as well as a fresh selection of cheeses, baked goods, deli sandwiches and much more. Newly opened in Alnmouth, The Whittling House is a delightful restaurant serving good food using Northumberland produce. It’s conveniently located on the main street of Alnmouth. The Whittling House is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’d definitely recommend you book a table ahead of time to ensure your place.

This cute little tearoom is decorated out in a vintage style, serving tea, scones and cakes in pretty crockery with dainty cutlery – wonderfully embracing the traditional tearoom style without being stuffy or old-fashioned.  Recommended for afternoon tea in Alnmouth.

The Sun Inn

The Sun Inn is a really cosy and friendly pub with a warm atmosphere and really good food. The bar area is lovely and a great place to meet after a long walk along the gorgeous coastline. There is a quiz each Tuesday and you can bring your dog to the bar too!

A really traditional pub with the best atmosphere! The owners have embraced the classic style and retained its original features, which adds to the cosiness of the true Northumbrian pub. There is a lovely beer garden and a restaurant too. They serve a good Sunday lunch! The pub quiz is great and takes place every Tuesday. Dogs can come too!

Whilst primarily a very pretty art gallery housing an ever-changing range of both local and national art – including renowned local artist, Sue Fenlon, The Old School Gallery also has a small coffee shop serving Illy coffee and locally baked cakes. The gallery itself is lovely inside, being converted from the original old village school it has some lovely period features. In the summer, there are picnic tables with parasols to sit outside and water bowls for dogs. Street food is served throughout the summer months from local providers.
